The 24th Country Coordinators Meeting (CCM) of the Network of East Asian Think Tanks (NEAT) was successfully conducted in Phuket, Thailand on March 4, 2016. The meeting was hosted by the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC), Thailand.
Concepts/ideas for discussion under working groups were presented during the meeting: Crisis Management in the ASEAN Plus Three Countries; The Road towards the East Asia Economic Community (EAEC) 2020; Enhancement of Regional Health in East Asia with Special Reference to the Public Health and Universal Health Coverage; and, Institutional Sustainability of NEAT Towards the East Asian Community. Reports for these topics will be presented in the next CCM.

Reports from the different Working Groups were discussed and a set of policy recommendations were adopted. Working groups reported on the following areas: Maritime Cooperation in East Asia; East Asian Poverty Reduction; Towards Good Urban Planning: Sustainable Development and Better Quality of Life; and, Towards Seamless Connectivity: Transforming Multi-modal Transport System into Economic Corridors.
