The 13th East Asia Forum was held on 20-21 May 2015 in Jeju, Republic of Korea. The forum was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and attended by 66 participants from the government, business and academic sectors from the ASEAN Members States, People’s Republic of China, Japan and Republic of Korea. Honored officials and guests from the Republic of Korea, Brunei Darussalam, China, Japan and Malaysia formed the panel of keynote speakers. The forum was organized under the theme ‘Prosperous East Asia though Non-Traditional Security Cooperation.’
 
The 14th East Asia Forum was held in Siem Reap, Cambodia on 9-10 June 2016 with the theme ‘Deepening East Asia Integration Towards East Asia Economic Community.’ The forum was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia. Participants from the government, business and academic sectors and representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat were in attendance. His Excellency Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Ministry Delegate Attached to the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the forum’s keynote speaker, emphasized the importance of the East Asia community process involving the active participation of government, business, academic and think-tanks and the need to exert concrete efforts to address the challenges in achieving an EAEC by 2020.
