NEAT Working Group Meeting on East Asian Investment Cooperation, hosted by China Foreign Affairs University, was successfully held in Beijing, China on 10 May 2008. Scholars and experts from 8 ASEAN member countries (Brunei and Myanmar were absent) and China, Japan and the Republic of Korea participated in the meeting.
Discussions focused on the issues of East Asian Investment Cooperation and East Asian Infrastructure Investment Cooperation. Several suggestions on building East Asian Infrastructure Investment Fund were tabled.
